Please be advised that all water used from the Buchanan County Public Service Authority system must be purchased through the Buchanan County Public Service Authority office. We are located at 1023 Old Benns Branch Road Oakwood Va 24631. Information on purchasing water from hydrants can be obtained by calling 276-935-5827. Our office hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. EST.

Theft of water is a crime and will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

The only exceptions are for firefighting purposes and flowing hydrants for testing pressure. Fire departments are required to notify the Water Authority of any use.

Please report anyone connected to Fire Hydrants that is not a Fire Department at any time at above phone number.
